Outside terrace and driveway
The Stable comes with a driveway that can fit up to 2 cars, as well as a small patio area at the back of the cottage. Being in Curbar, there are many walks you can get to straight from the door, with Curbar Edge just above the village and popular hiking trails along White Edge, Longshaw Estate and Hope Valley all close by.
This makes The Stable an excellent choice for walking holidays in the Peak District or peaceful countryside escapes.
Kitchen and dining area
The open plan design of this renovated barn means that the downstairs space is very light and spacious, with big, beautiful original barn doors that look out onto the breathtaking Peak District valley.
The kitchen is fully equipped in a contemporary style, fitted with an induction hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave... and wine rack! The dining area is just next to the kitchen, in the middle of the downstairs area.
Whether you're preparing breakfast before a hike or a cosy evening meal, this space is designed for convenient and comfortable self-catering stays.
Living room
The sitting room is made all the cosier for its gorgeous log burning stove (logs provided) - creating a delightful welcome home after long walks in the Peaks. Along with a coat and shoe rack by the barn doors, the lounge offers a sofa, which can be pulled out into a double-sized bed, armchair , ottoman and smart TV.
We also provide a range of family games such as Monopoly and Cluedo, to be enjoyed by our guests.
Bedroom
Upstairs in the bedroom of The Stable you can especially appreciate the historic charm that this 200+ year old barn boasts.
Now converted into a romantic Peak District cottage for couples and families, the bedroom features the stable building's original beam structure, along with stunning views of Curbar Edge and Hope Valley.
The room itself offers a comfy double bed, chest of drawers, mirror, hanging space and TV - ideal for a romantic Peak District getaway.
Bathroom
A small luxury that makes a big difference after long walks!,The bathroom offers a clean, modern contrast to the cottage’s historic features, with an electric shower, toilet, hand basin, shaving point, drawers, and of course... those incredible views of Curbar Edge and Hope Valley.
